Walking the Labyrinth

During our annual meeting last Sunday, Michael proposed several parish initiatives for 2012--one of which was exploring spiritual disciplines that may be unfamiliar to some of us. The labyrinth is one such practice.

Education for Ministry in the Diocese of Rochester invites the members of our parish on a "field trip" to experience walking the labyrinth....

Wednesday, February 8th | 5:00pm until 7:00pm
Asbury First United Methodist Church | Fellowship Hall
1050 East Ave | Rochester, NY

The labyrinth is an ancient spiritual tool, a winding path that can be used as an aid to meditation and prayer. Walking a labyrinth, from entrance to center and back out again, is a simple, contemplative exercise that allows you to free yourself from busy thoughts and slow down to receive the message that God has for you.
